Join us for a few hours escapism, enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness at Blackdown Ridge. Learn about the varieties and management of our vines throughout the year, the wine making process from vine to bottle, then taste our award-winning English wines.
You and your friends will be welcomed with a short history of how and why the vision Blackdown Ridge Estate was first started.
This is followed by a walk around the vineyard where you will learn about the varieties and management of the vines throughout the year. Here we favour a minimal intervention approach to viticulture; our grapes are hand tended and also handpicked. We reuse as much as possible, recycle our waste carefully and try to avoid the use of plastic.
Along the way you will visit our winery where you will learn about the production process for our wines and see some of our slightly eccentric equipment!
We finish by offering you a chance to sit down, relax and taste our award-winning English wines. It is a chance to discuss and compare the vintages along with some local cheeses and crackers.
This is a great opportunity to buy the wines for source at a discount.
We aim to give you a 'two hour holiday' away from your busy world; share a little of our harmony and balance which we hope is reflected in our wines, hear a little about our ethos as an up and coming family run vineyard in this burgeoning industry.
Our full range is available to buy when you visit the vineyard, or from our Online Shop.
We are very tricky to find so please see the Contact Us page for a link to directions.
Note: If you have a particular ability issue please contact us in advance to discuss your requirements as the vineyard walk is unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility. However, the winery is at car park level.
Please bring suitable footwear as we will be walking through the fields, it can be slippery. We have public indemnity insurance but we would rather you went home safely!
